The white male driving a silver Mercedes Benz has apparently been making the rounds near high schools in Midrand in search of a willing victim. All this is according to a Noordwyk mother who preferred to remain anonymous in order to protect her teenage son’s identity.
She approached the Midrand Reporter as a disgusted and shocked citizen.
“My son was walking home from school in his school uniform when the man approached him,” she said. “The man asked my son if he likes to suck d#$%!,” she exclaimed.
She said she believed that the man was on the prowl, looking for young boys to fulfill his pedophilic fantasies. “He is an old man. My son couldn’t even take down his registration number due to shock. He didn’t [expect to have such an encounter] on his way home from writing an exam.”
As a concerned mother, she obviously wanted to know, “How do we stop this?”
The Midrand police have said they have not received any complaints from the public that describes a similar case. Constable Matome Tlamela confirmed the serious nature of the allegations, but she could not comment further.
“As a community, what do we have to do to control this,” asked the concerned mother.
“I am totally disgusted that anyone would have the audacity to approach young boys.”
Police have previously issued safety tips for Midrand residents in order to avoid being a victim of crime. It is advisable that parents should share these with their children.
