Youth empowerment is real

MIDRAND - When ward 112 councillor Candice James speaks of Cutt Diamondz, she beams with pride.

The youth conglomerate is a group of artistic souls who came together to create jobs, while doing their various art forms and enjoying being young and spirited at the same time.

The group came together to create a media powerhouse to rival all other giants. They do corporate photography, produce their own music and videos, and they are experienced graphic designers.

They’ve signed a few artists to their stable and are planning on releasing their albums soon. The group is very protective of the work they do, as is any artist, but they promise that all will be revealed “in due time”.

However, they would love to work with businesses in and around Midrand, to not only promote their creative skills, but also to put a youth spin on Midrand business dealings.

“They are a young group of individuals, grabbing every opportunity they can get,” said James. On 10 November, James and the youngsters had a one-on-one session whereby she advised them on unexplored territory that they could take advantage of.

As a young brand, they had achieved a lot said the councillor, “Them, coming together like this, is a great achievement on its own.”

She gave them advice on how to approach businesses and how to present themselves and their ideas to relevant stakeholders.

As for Cutt Diamondz, they said they are looking forward to creating partnerships with businesses within and around Midrand.
