Man who stabbed colleague to death senteced

MIDRAND - A man in his 30s has been convicted for stabbing his colleague to death.

The man has received a sentence of six years. He was accused of the murder that occurred at Smuts Drive in Halfway Gardens on 11 July. Apparently the man got into an argument with his colleague. They were both living at the construction site where they were working. The accused then stabbed the other man to death during the argument.

The accused was sentenced to six years direct imprisonment.

The Midrand Police Station commander, colonel Steven Moodley attributes the arrest to the detective work done by Sergeant Aubrey Makgoshing. “He is being commended for his excellent expertise of investigating the case,” said Constable Matome Tlamela, head of communications at the station.
