Domestic worker abandons children

KYALAMI - A domestic worker is wanted for questioning in connection with theft and abandoning children who were in her care in Whisken Road in Kyalami.

Midrand police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said the complainant left two children with her helper and went to work as usual.

“After work she got home and found her children crying and locked up alone in the house, ” said Tlamela. “Upon further investigation the complainant noticed that her small safe containing an unknown amount of cash and two spare keys for her vehicles had been stolen.”

The helper left the house allegedly without any notice and is nowhere to be found.

A case of theft has been opened at Midrand Police Station.
