Tyla Taneel told Midrand Reporter that she would absolutely hate to hear something else breathing if she were alone in the dark.
Patty Jones, who has a terrible fear of the dark said, “I’d hate to hear anything in the dark. Any sound. Kids laughing, scary music, a nursery rhyme, my mom’s voice.”
Ricardo Edwards said he’d hate to hear the sound of scratching on a window if he were alone in the dark. “Things like that give me the creeps. High pitched noises or screeching or a door creaking. It sends a shiver down my spine.”
“Oh my gosh. I hate the sound of owls. I think I’ve watched too many horror movies, but that just freaks me out,” said Jacqui Tshabalala.
Gloria Ntolo said, “I’d absolutely die if I heard a dripping sound and I was alone in the dark. Like am I bleeding? Is someone else bleeding? Is it just a tap?”
Freddy Sutton said he hated the sound of the wind. “Am I the only one who feels like I’m going to blown over?”
Freddy, the fear of wind is called ancraophobia.
“Uhm, that’s a hard one. I’m not really afraid of the dark or anything. I think it’d have to be the sound of a car crash. I wouldn’t know if it was near me or coming at me. I’d probably just start running,” said Portia Moloto
Innocence Mamba said, “The sound of a million needles falling around me.”
On the funnier side Themba Msawa said, “I’d hate to hear my girlfriend’s voice… Maybe I just generally hate her voice. I think I need to break up with my girlfriend.”
