BREAKING NEWS: Shooting at Buccleuch Interchange
BUCCLEUCH - A shootout has reportedly taken place just after the Buccleuch Interchange on the N1 North.
UPDATE: Paramedics say two suspects were arrested after being shot. No word on their condition. Another two suspects apparently fled.
According to a Sandton Chronicle Blackberry contact a police helicopter has been flying around the Cell C building at the interchange.
Reports state that a police officer shot from the helicopter, but details about the incident are still unclear.
According to an eyewitness two people have been injured in the incident.

Motorist have been warned that traffic is severely backed up due to this incident.

The shooting started on Alandale Road just after Alsation Road – under the Gautrain Bridge – we heard a shot and thought it was a car back-firing – then several shots rang out in quick succession – We saw motorists swerving off the road to avoid the bullets and then a stream of police cars followed – we then saw the helicopter and loads more police vehicles racing down Alandale towards to highway
