Rabie Ridge Police spokesperson Constable Jacob Nhlongo said the suspect allegedly raped his 12-year-old daughter on 22 September.
“The mother of the girl said the incident took place while she was at work. The father was at home with their two daughters and a son,” he said.
It is alleged the suspect asked his daughter if she had ever had sex, she said she had not, and he then insisted on checking for himself if she was still a virgin.
“The suspect raped his daughter and when his wife came home she learnt of what happened from the daughter and reported the matter to the police,” said Nhlongo.
The man will soon appear at Tembisa Magistrates’ Court on a charge of rape.
