20 years imprisonment for house robbery

KYALAMI - A conviction of 20 years has been set down for a robbery.

This after an case of house robbery and rape was opened on 14 June, 2013. The incident took place at about 6pm on Zinnia Road in Kyalami.

One suspect was apprehended and was sentenced to 20 years direct imprisonment. The victim was also raped but forensic evidence could not link the convicted suspect to the rape.Two of the other suspects are still on the run.

“The police are looking forward to bringing the other two suspects to book,” said Constable Matome Tlamela of the Midrand police.

The police station’s commander Colonel Steven Moodley and station management, expressed their pride. They commended the work of Detective Sergeant Sekhunkhwane Lekganyan for his expertise during the investigation of the case.
