Glen Austin Bird Sanctuary breakfast

Chairman of the conservancy and member of the Glen Austin Ratepayers’ Association, Rob Fowler said, “The breakfast was a great opportunity for residents and friends of the sanctuary to socialise and enjoy the sight of a variety of birds there.”

He said the bird sanctuary and bullfrog reserve are wildlife gems in Midrand.

“And like many bird clubs in the province, [members] are passionate about maintaining its pristine condition despite all the urban pressures that threaten its beauty and tranquility,” Fowler said.

He added that it was great to see so many residents turn up for the event.
