Shop looted, suspects wanted

IVORY PARK - Police are looking for suspects who robbed a Somali shop in Swazi Inn on 13 August.

Ivory Park police spokesperson Warrant Officer Neldah Sekgobela said, “We are looking for seven suspects who are attacking businesses around Ivory Park. It is alleged that the suspects are heavily armed with rifles.”

She explained that the suspects robbed the Somalian shop of R6 000 after threatening the shop owner with rifles.

“The shop has been robbed for the second time since July. After robbing the shop the suspects fled the scene using a white Toyota Runnex with an unknown registration number,” she said.

It is alleged that one of the suspects is limping. Anyone with information can contact Ivory Park Police Station.
