Ivory Park Secondary School is grooming young scientists

IVORY PARK - Ivory Park Secondary School is aiming high for its mathematics and science departments.

They hosted National Science Week from 4 to 9 August, which benefited other schools in the surrounding areas with its interesting displays.

The school gave pupils the opportunity to perform science experiments, much to the delight of their younger counterparts.

Mpumelelo Primary School pupils were particularly enthralled by a magnetic car.

Robert Chauke, Ivory Park Secondary School’s science teacher and project co-ordinator, said he was pleased with the outcome of the week-long science exhibition.

“Four schools benefited from this initiative: Mikateka Primary School, Mpumelelo Primary School, Kaalfontein Secondary School and JB Matabane Secondary School,” he said.
