According to Midrand police Constable Nanty Belebesi, the incident took place on 6 August. Constable Belebesi said, “The complainant said she was with her children on the day the crime took place, she heard dogs barking and went to check what was happening and locked the back door.”
“The complainant went back to watch TV and suddenly the main door was kicked open from outside and two suspects pointed a firearm at her.”
The suspect with the firearm led the complainant to the bedroom and covered her with a blanket. She said she heard them taking things in the house and the money she had at home and they left.
No shots were fired and no one was injured during the robbery. Police are investigating the matter.
