The children were excited to learn about golf from professional golfers at the golfing estate.
Avis general manager of marketing, Santa Smith said the car rental company wanted to take the children out for an adventurous day. “The children who are here have life-threatening illnesses, we wanted to make their day memorable and give them hope.”
Reach For A Dream project and events co-ordinator, Sibongile Khulu said the experience will uplift the young ones’ hearts. “Our organisation chose to take the 10 children from Salvation Army for a memorable day out, which was made possible by our partnership with Avis.”
World of Golf operations manager Gareth Madden said the golfing estate does a lot of corporate events. “We are honoured to share our golf knowledge with the young people here today.”
Lebogang Britts said she enjoyed learning about golf. “I never knew golf can be so fun, I am enjoying it.”
Adolf Pelembe seemed quite taken with the sport. “Given an opportunity I would do this again, it is fun.”
