Walk-inn centre not ready

MIDRAND - Midrand will soon be home to a walk-in centre for the Revenue and Customer Relations Department.

This, after the city identified the regional offices of Midrand and Sandton to have walk-in centres.

Renovations at the Revenue Department have been taking place since May and while the walk-in centre was supposed to be complete on 1 July, Pierre Nel of Region A Citizen Relationship and Urban Management said technical difficulties were experienced and the centre’s new opening date will be 1 August.

Nel advised that residents could use alternative pay points until the walk-in centre is opened.

These are: 1605 Acacia Road in Ebony Park; 383 Ngonyama Street at the Diepsloot Youth Centre; 3 Khoraan Street in Rabie Ridge; and 4326 Makhaya Drive in Ivory Park.

Region A apologised for the inconvenience.
