Enjoy a showjumping experience for charity

MIDRAND - Penny Place Equestrian Centre is hosting an open day for community members to view the stable yard, watch showjumping and enjoy fun activities.

David Zimkhona Tsheke works at Penny Place Stables and has come to have a reputation for designing creative jumps for the showjumping arena. His creations will be on display during the open day.

The stable yard and show centre is run by former top showjumper both abroad and in South Africa, Anneli Wucherpfennig along with Trevor Bern. The centre was based in Paulshof before moving to Blue Hills.

The open day will be held in conjunction with its monthly showjumping training show on Youth Day, 16 June.

The open day will allow members of the community, even those who do not horse ride, to watch the showjumping and enjoy pony rides, face painting and a cake sale.

There will be a raffle too and the proceeds will go to the Highveld Horse Care Unit.
