Support for cancer patients
CARLSWALD - The launch of the CanSurvive Midrand Cancer Support Group was a success and the group is hoping to draw more support.
Chris Olivier of the group said it would be held on the fourth Saturday of every month at Netcare Waterfall City Hospital. The meetings start at 9am.
He said the aim was to establish a local committee to help run the group. The group hopes to attract people from not only Midrand but Centurion too.
CanSurvive Support Groups have given cancer patients caring and confidential environments to share their concerns.
The groups also offer support to the patients through information and sharing experiences with other patients. The groups also offer patients Experienced Cancer Buddies to assist.
