Shopper bust for dagga

NOORDWYK - A man (32) was arrested for being in possession of dagga at the Noordwyk Shopping Centre on 5 May at 3.30pm.

Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said the man was arrested by Sergeant Molema Ignatius Nametso.

“According to the report, the man was driving out of the centre and he was stopped at the main gate and pulled off by the police,” said Tlamela.

“The police approached the vehicle and there was only the driver in the vehicle. They introduced themselves to him. The police searched him and they found him in possession of dagga in his right front jeans pocket.”

The man was immediately arrested for possession of dagga and his Constitutional rights were clearly explained to him, she said.
