Fashion lends a hand to businesses

CROWTHORNE - The gesture of community members extending a helping hand to one another was evident at Gecko Jewellers in Crowthorne on 3 May.

The jewellers played host to a fashion show where Midrand businesses supported a new business on the block, Muntu’s Hair and Beauty Therapy.

Before the fashion show began, Zwane smiled with enthusiasm and said she was excited about the launch.

Juliet Keagile of Figures Models said the models in the fashion show were aged between 13 and 18. “This will aid in the models’ training,” said Keagile.

The models’ hair was styled by Muntu’s Hair and Beauty Therapy, and they were dressed by Neltz Boutique and Image Consulting. Gossip Accessories sponsored the jewellery and Billett Resources helped to co-ordinate the event.

Three models were selected by judges on the day and they were offered different opportunities to be ambassadors for the beauty salon.

Keagile said Koketso Manthata was chosen as queen, with Lungo Katete as first princess and Palesa Nthite as second princess.
