MixFM gives pupils Easter treats

MIDRAND - Mix FM radio station team brought smiles to children at Nokuphila School.

Station Manager Abigail Milosevich and staff gave pupils easter treats at the school. Milosevich said, “The station supports the school any way it can because most of the children at the school come from homes that can not afford to pay their school fees or put adequate food on the table.”

“Last year at this time we brough pizza to the school and it was heart breaking to see that most of the children did not know what pizza was, many of them were having it for the first time,” she said.

Milosevich explained that some of “the pupils need second hand or new school shoes. We have to find sponsors and well wishers who will help us give the children school shoes, especially as winter approaches.”

School principal Michelle Peters said they appreciate the support from the station. “Mix FM’s support helps us fulfil our vision for quality education, and to let pupils know that they are also special because it does not matter where they are from. They future is bright.”
