Security teams join forces in clean-up

ADT Watch consultants, the police and the Rabie Ridge Community Policing Forum teamed up in a community clean-up in Rabie Ridge.

The clean-up focused on a section of veld along a main road in Rabie Ridge which has been the site of many crimes.

Managing director of ADT Central Region Clive Humphrey said, “The long grass has made this a particularly dangerous place for people crossing over to the shops on the other side. Many people have been ambushed and attacked, or robbed by criminals hiding and disappearing into the grass.”

Humphrey added that the parties involved were hoping to send a message to the criminal element in Rabie Ridge that the area was now under strict surveillance. “Our ADT Watch team plan to do a drive by with the police later in the month, on 28 April, to further show our presence and inform the community about safety,” he said.
