Play time is fun time
MIDRAND - Toys for Africa and Varsity College Midrand visited the New Jerusalem Children’s Home in Midrand to hand over toys.
Toys for Africa ambassador, Donnalee Roberts, an actress on 7de Laan, Pad na jou hart and Klein Karoo, also gave some of her time to the little ones, alongside the newly crowned Mr and Miss Varsity College Midrand 2014, Ben Liebenberg and Odirile Sepeng respectively.
The children were treated to some positive words by Toys for Africa founder, Danie van Loggerenberg and Varisty College social co-ordinator, Makwena Kgopane before the toys were handed out.
“Toys for Africa has the mission to hand a new toy to every child in South Africa and to date over 102 000 children have benefited across South Africa from this passion,” said Van Loggerenberg.
Any organisation or school in the Midrand is welcome to contact Toys for Africa to find out how they could benefit. Van Loggerenberg said at least 10 more beneficiaries across Midrand would receive toys by the end of 2014.
