Justice prevails for two criminals

MIDRAND - Two suspects received a 23 year sentence for housebreaking and theft.

Midrand police communications officer Constable Matome Tlamela said in April last year the suspects broke into a house on Fitzpatrick Street in Vorna Valley and stole electronic equipment.

“An ADT security guard on duty called Midrand police for assistance. With the quick response of the police assisted by ADT security guards they managed to arrest the suspects at the scene for being in possession of items that were stolen from the house,” said Tlamela.

Midrand police’s management and station commander Colonel Steven Moodley commended the good work of Midrand police officers for arresting the criminals.

“The arresting officer in this case was Constable Partney Shai and the investigating officer was Detective Sergeant Jerry Skhosana,” said Tlamela.
