Learn tips for business success

MIDRAND - Rita Zwane will be the guest speaker at the March Midrand Business Networking session.

Organiser Al Karaki said it would be “really interesting” for Midrand business people to meet this dynamic woman, who has gone from a single pot to a multi-million rand business.

All business people in the Midrand and surrounding areas are welcome to the sessions. Zwane is the winner of the 2013 National Small Business Chamber award and was featured in Midrand Reporter last year.

Zwane owns Imbizo Shisanyama restaurant in Ivory Park which is famously known as ‘Busy Corner’.

Established in 1997 with a single pot, gas griller, display fridge, gas stove and only two employees, Zwane now employs 54 people, as well as help from surrounding community members, to run the business on a daily basis.

The restaurant has an African identity with a braai area and is a unique restaurant experience. Zwane is in the process of expanding her business to fulfil her dream of making “Shisanyama the official African cuisine restaurant” and to “take Africa’s ultimate braai experience to the rest of the world”. Zwane will share her secrets to success at Midrand’s monthly Biz Mix Networking Session on 26 March from 10am to 12pm.
