Vorna Valley clean up

VORNA VALLEY residents will take part in National Clean Up Week which runs from 16 to 21 September. The initiative is a call to action for all South Africans to take care of the environment. People are advised to clean up areas in which they reside and the public is encouraged not to litter.

The clean-up will take place on 21 September, with a meeting point at the Vorna Valley Park in Anton Hartman on the Pierneef side. The clean-up will take place from 1pm until 4pm.

Residents must bring gloves, long tongs or metal spikes to pick up litter, water, and side cutters to take down signs, if needed. Rubbish bags will be provided. The Vorna Valley Residents Association will give out letters for community service to high school pupils who will assist with the operation.
