Items stolen from cars at Lifestyle Centre

MIDRAND - On 16 August at 8:15am a car was robbed of property to the value of R16 000 in the parking lot of Carlswald Lifestyle Centre.

Police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “The complainant had parked his car at Carlswald Lifestyle Centre and gone to the shops. When he arrived back at his car he realised that his bag containing an iPad, pens and sunglasses had been stolen. There was no sign of forced entry.”

Later that day another incident occurred at the same shopping complex.

Constable Tlamela said, “Another complainant found that her laptop, memory stick, notebook and purse containing her bank cards had been stolen after returning from the shops. No-one has been arrested yet but the police are investigating. We suspect that remote jamming is involved in both cases.”
