Adopt a friend from the SPCA

MIDRAND SPCA has some pets up for adoption and members of the community are encouraged to visit the shelter and take one home.

Manager Elsje Naicker said her organisation advised people to adopt and not buy animals.

Among those that need homes are a five-year-old beagle and a one-year-old blue-eyed Collie that’s very friendly.

All the pets at the shelter are vaccinated and de-wormed.

The Midrand SPCA needs your donations.

Naicker said, “We are desperate for cat and dog food and your kind donation will benefit pets throughout the community. We use three tons of pet food per month to feed the cats and dogs at the pound, and the pets from indigenous areas in and around Midrand.”

The Midrand SPCA has started a donation via SMS initiative.

Details: SMS ‘MIDSPCA’ to 38324 to donate R10.
