Carlswald family robbed of belongings

MIDRAND - A house in Carlswald was robbed of property estimated to the value of R75 000.

According to police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela, the crime occured on 9 August just before 08:00pm.

Tlamela said the complainant left her door unlocked while having dinner as her domestic helper used the same door to go in and out of the house.”Suddenly she heard her helper screaming outside, and found unknown men pointing a gun at her. The complainant ran into her house to try and lock the door, but the suspects overpowered her. They took her wedding rings, other jewellery, cell phones and clothes before leaving her house,” said Tlamela.

No arrests have been made yet and police investigations are underway.
