Caster Semenya in the spotlight after IAAF limits

The International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF) has initiated a restriction on the testosterone levels of female athletes. This has put the South African gold medal athlete, Caster Semenya, in the spotlight.

We asked our readers what they think about it and this is what they had to say …

TABAKATOSE MSINDO: It is not good at all. Her being judged in that manner is unfair to her and all women in sport.
LYNDA ELLIS: It’s not her fault that she was born the way she is and it is unfair to discriminate against her because of how she is.
SEIPATI MATLAKALA: What the IAAF is initiating is unjust especially on Caster Semenya. She should be allowed to participate normally like all other women.
ROBERT RAKOMA: Caster Semenya has experienced enough discrimination already. She’s good at what she does and she should be allowed to participate in sports without being judged.
