Police spokesperson Constable Matome Tlamela said, “The police were conducting a stop and search when they spotted a silver Audi Q7 without a registration number.
“The Audi was immediately stopped and while the police were interviewing the driver they received information over the police radio channel that they should look out for an Audi Q7 that was stolen in Sandton a few minutes earlier.”
Constable Tlamela added, “The tracking device in the vehicle had located it in Midrand. The Audi Q7 that was stopped by the police fitted the exact description of the stolen vehicle. The police immediately arrested the driver for possession of the suspected stolen vehicle.”
Constable Tlamela said, “The suspect will appear in court facing charges of possession of a suspected stolen motor vehicle. The police are investigating and are hoping to bring more suspects to book.”
