Bright Start pre-school college hosts meet and greet session

Grade R teacher Noxxie Magwaza says the school hosts the meet-and-greet session twice a year in April and September.

In a bid to strengthen camaraderie between teachers, learners and parents, Bright Start Pre-school hosted a meet-and-greet session at their premises in Glen Austin.

The young learners were treated to some fun games – including exercises, a soccer shooting range and jumping castle after the games.

The parents on the side of the field, which was demarcated with cones, could not stop laughing at the young one’s misses and wins.

Grade R teacher Noxxie Magwaza said, “The meet-and-greet for the parents was aimed at ensuring parents know each other and have fun with their kids from the school. We host the meet and greet session for parents twice a year, in April and September, so this was the first of this academic year.”

One parent Tsiesti Mohlomi said he and his family had a great time and it was a great opportunity to interact with other parents.
“I think such sessions are critical for us as parents to know each other. But beyond that, know the teachers at the school and our children’s friends as well as their parents. It is great to be here.”

The session ended up being a lively affair as there was music and dance from all – teachers, parents and learners – to close off the day in style.
