Charting a bold course for excellence at Stadio Waterfall

Stadio Waterfall welcomes a new head of the campus.

Stadio Higher Education recently made a significant announcement that has generated a lot of excitement in the academic community.

The group has appointed an eminent academic to take the lead at their Midrand Waterfall campus.

Dr Farhana Paruk has been named as the head of the campus, and she brings with her a wealth of experience and accomplishments, having worked in various sectors, including private, banking, government, academic, education, and NGO.

With over 15 years of experience in diverse fields, Paruk has a strong foundation in international business and diplomacy, holding a PhD in international relations and an MBA from Buckinghamshire University in the UK.

In recognition of her outstanding academic achievements she was awarded the prestigious Harvard South Africa Scholarship in 2008, which enabled her to study at Harvard University in the USA. She later became a fellow at the Weatherhead Centre for International Relations at Harvard University.

Paruk began her career in the presidency’s government communication and information system, where she worked in the media and international relations department for seven years. During her tenure, she played a vital role in the president’s special projects.

In 2005, she moved to the private sector, where she took up the position of marketing manager at BMW’s head office. Two years later she joined the Institute for Security Studies as a senior researcher and headed the China-Africa programme.

As an expert in China-Africa relations, Paruk has authored numerous journal articles and co-authored a book on ‘The Forum on China and Africa Cooperation’.

She has been a guest speaker at prestigious institutions like Tsinghua University and China Women’s University in Beijing. An active participant in BRICS conferences, she has also presented papers at several international events in China.

Stadio Higher Education has also appointed Marjorie Tlali to take charge of the Centurion campus. Professor Patrick Bean, the executive head of contact learning at the faculty of education, expressed his enthusiasm for the new appointments, stating that both leaders have a passion for education and that their wealth of experience and expertise is in line with Stadio’s mission to provide quality higher education for all.

The Stadio family is eager to see the impact of their contribution to the growth and success of their respective campuses.
