Summerhill hosts a successful art exhibition and awards evening

The aim was to also see how learners have the ability to reflect on their own lives and to question the world in which they find themselves.

Summerhill International College recently held its first art exhibition and awards evening.

The evening on September 15 was held to showcase and celebrate Cambridge Art and Design and IEB Visual Arts learners’ talents through the artworks they have produced throughout the year.

Trophies were awarded to the top learners in various categories such as outstanding drawing techniques, painting, printmaking, and conceptualisation.

The aim of the exhibition was not only to recognise talent but also to see how learners have the ability to introspect and question the world in which they find themselves based on reflection through critical thought, strength in decision-making, and tenacity.
