Housekeepers around Midrand attended an educational event
Guests had the opportunity to engage with representatives from top home appliance brands.
Domestic workers around Midrand attended a monthly housekeeping event hosted by Hirsch’s at their Waterfall store on July 10.
According to Hirsch’s event manager Bertus Snyman, this is a great event for housekeepers to learn how to operate machines, clean and maintain home appliances.
Hirsch’s team had demonstrations on how home appliances such as coffee machines, dishwashers, and ovens should be cleaned. Gopolang Mosidi did a demonstration on how to clean different types of vacuum cleaners as different households use different machines.
The event also taught workers what they should avoid doing when cleaning home appliances.
Lebogang Nkomo, a domestic worker said the event was very helpful as it will help her improve her housekeeping skills.
A certificate of completion was received by all domestic workers who attended the event.
The Hirsch’s Waterfall team expressed their delight at the success of the event, stating that it was a great opportunity to connect with their community and support the growth of the housekeeping industry. Snyman encourages employers to register for their domestic workers to attend this educational event.
