The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall recently celebrated Pride Month.

Students on campus proudly embraced diversity and inclusivity when celebrating the month during a visually captivating event.

Through a unique hand painting activity, students added their personal touch to a Pride Month banner, showcasing solidarity and support for the LGBTQ+ community.

Pride Month is traditionally celebrated in June around the world. This annual event serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of acceptance, diversity, and love.

It brings together individuals, organisations, and communities to advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and celebrate progress made toward a more inclusive society.

The colourful handprints represent each student’s individuality and unique identity.

Blended harmoniously, it also signified the strength of unity in diversity.

The IIE’s Waterfall campus student wellness manager, Nozipho Hendrie said, “The hand painting activity was a beautiful display of our students’ support and respect for the LGBTQ+ community. It is moments like these that define the essence of our institution and remind us of the importance of celebrating diversity.”
