Fit netball player enjoys foot and yet remains in shape

When Didintler Keebine was asked where she would like to see her self play in the next five years or so, she confidently said England would be her ideal destination to ply her netball trade.

At the tender age of 26, an avid netball player from Vorna Valley is a qualified psychology and sociology graduate and holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Management.

As if that is not enough, Didintle Keebine is currently a sports coach: head of netball at The King’s College and Preparatory School in Bryanston, Sandton.

South Africa’s Fast 5 player Didintle Keebine aims to pass the ball.

She says before anything else, Keebine is a child of God who loves food and pets and dogs are her favourite.
Keebine was part of the 2022 Fast 5 South African netball squad that participated in the World Series held in New Zealand and came second to bring home a silver medal.
In the process, she accumulated four caps during that tournament as a debutante.

Didintle Keebine is happy with her four caps for South Africa’s Fast 5 netball team.

She described herself as a person on the move outside the netball court as she explore various restaurants that will serve her the best dish as an avid food lover.
“I love food. I love baking, cooking, watching series or movies, travelling, and reading. I am just an adventurous person who also loves discovering restaurants and what they offer. I love food,” said Keebine.

She went to Mafikeng High School between 2010–2011, before moving to Hoërskool Zeerust between 2012–2014. She then attended North West University (Potchefstroom Campus) from 2016–2022.
“It [netball] has taught me to work with different kinds of people and have a certain level of patience. To be a go-getter, not stand back for anyone and fight till the end. To carry yourself well, because so many people look up to you, even when you don’t realise it.”

Keebine says for her, sports have always been an inborn thing because growing up she competed in both netball and athletics.
She further represented the North West Province in both sporting codes at nationals.

Asked in the next five years or so where would you like to see yourself play, she said in England.
With less than 80 days remaining before the start of the netball World Cup in Cape Town, Keebine will be following the proceedings very closely.
Locally, she plays for Midrand’s action netball team, Imbali.
