Former Noordwyk and Allandridge Secondary school learner takes part in live show

Ipeleng Rose Selepe from Midrand hopes the exposure of being on TV will help her get more exposure in entertainment industry.

Despite being a shy person, Midrand resident Ipeleng Rose Selepe (25) wants to get out of her shell by appearing on the live TV show Big Brother Titans.

Reserved and shy Ipeleng Rose Selepe from Midrand is one of the 20 contestants from South Africa and Nigeria vying for the R1.7m prize money.

Out of the 20 contestants, also known as housemates, the winner of the show will walk away with R1.7m. Selepe underwent several online auditions before being selected to be part of the housemates.
Selepe is currently locked in the live show which airs every day and contestants are not allowed to use their cell phones.

Speaking on behalf of his daughter Selepe’s father Frans, a teacher at Noordwyk Secondary School, said she was tired of being a slave to her personality.
“Ipeleng is a quiet person when she is not used to people who are around her and really loves to work and push her life in the right direction,” said Frans.
He added his daughter was a law student and always wanted to be in the broadcasting and television industry.

One of the 20 housemates, Ipeleng Rose Selepe from Midrand urges the community to vote for her.

Frans said her favourite saying was ‘God will make a way, and if something is yours, then it will find its way to you.’
He said her message to the public would be that she appreciated the support and would forever be grateful for those who were behind her.

The show commenced on January 15 and has 20 contestants, 10 from South Africa and 10 from Nigeria.
