New Jerusalem Children’s Home is grateful to its donors

Donors like Hilti South Africa, Wabtec Corporation, and United Way South Africa showed their support and made a difference at the home.

Many people are inspired to volunteer because it enables them to give back to their local community or help people in need across the world.

After Covid-19 hit the world in 2020, some of New Jerusalem Children’s Homes’ donors pulled away for some time.

However, New Jerusalem was able to rise above the storm as some donors continued to donate and support the home through difficult times.

Donors like Hilti South Africa, Wabtec Corporation, and United Way South Africa showed their support and made a difference at the home from September to late October this year.

Hilti sent someone from the company on daily basis to clean the outside of the home, they planted fruit trees to sustain the home with fruits and used their special skills to cover the deep compost.

Volunteers from Wabtec Corporation also came in numbers to plant trees, paint the wall, and interacted with the home’s children, while United Way also came with their volunteers to donate sanitary pads and gave motivational speeches to the young girls at the home.

The home provides holistic and integrated quality care to abandoned, abused, traumatised, orphans, HIV-positive, and vulnerable children from zero to 18 years.

The home is grateful to all its donors and promises to look after and care for every item that was donated to them.
