Society for Animals in Distress hosts successful Dog Jog

Sally Tagg, admin and donor manager at SAID, believes the Dog Jog event went very well and all rules were adhered to by the dog owners.

The Society for Animals in Distress (SAID) recently held its annual Dog Jog for the first time since 2019 following the Covid-19 pandemic.

Admin and donor manager of the society Sally Tagg said the aim of Dog Jog was for walkers and dog lovers to get out and about. The successful jog was held on October 30 at Casalinga, Muldersdrift.

“We had a 2,5km, 5km and 10km course with various stalls. The Dog Jog was an annual event at the society prior to Covid, last being held in 2019 and has now been resurrected at Casalinga in Muldersdrift,” said Tagg.

She said the jog was open to everyone this year and the event was held jointly with another NPO named Sushi and Panda. “The dog jog went well. It was a fun-filled day with your pup! Doggies were vaccinated, socialised and always on a leash.”
