Curro Midrand Sagewood learners wrap up Heritage Month in style

Each class from the school researched one culture and its heritage and showcased their findings to the judges and the school.

Heritage Month was a festive celebration of cultures at Curro Midrand Sagewood High School. Each class from the school researched one culture and its heritage and showcased their findings to the judges and the school.

This profound learning experience required the learners to learn their chosen culture dance, prepare food, and wear its attire. The 10 judges then shortlisted six finalists who performed their dances for the school. The winning class was Grade 9.4, which exhibited the Zulu culture.

The school marketing manager Kayla Wolmarans said it was a phenomenal event of learning and understanding for the learners. “This is definitely one of the most exciting days at Curro Midrand High School and we are so proud to celebrate our South African cultures.”
