Midrand Cricket Club returns to training ahead of a new season

Recruiting new talent and making sure they compete and remain in the Premier League are the club's top priorities.

Having been promoted to the Easterns Premier League, Midrand Cricket Club kicked off its training session in preparation for the season ahead.

The team had a training session on August 27 that saw a great turnout with the team’s Premier League status attracting some exciting new talent to the club.

Club chairperson Molope Molope said, “These new players will go a long way in bolstering the club and offering a wide variety of selections for the respective teams.

“They will also be registering teams in different leagues with the union which ranges from social to competitive sides such as premier league, premier league reserve, and directors.”

The team’s promotion to the Premier League has not only attracted new players but also new sponsors for the team. Your Communications is one of the sponsors and others were being negotiated with.

Midrand Cricket Club players are back in training to prepare for the Easterns Premier League.

The club has prioritised attracting new talent and ensuring they compete and maintain their Premier League status.

“For players looking to join Midrand Cricket Club, be it socially or to compete at the highest level of club cricket, they can come to our practice venue at Midrand High School.”

The team practises on Wednesdays between 16:30 and 18:00 and Saturdays between 10:00 and 12:30.
