Local artist chooses passion over talent as he makes his debut in the music industry

Self-taught musician Poloko Bagie is adamant to make a name for himself in the entertainment industry.

A self-taught singer, songwriter and producer Poloko Bagie believes his passion for music got him to where he was today.

Popularly known as Sal AngeL, the Botswana-born RnB singer dropped his first single It’s Sad I won’t Lie on July 8.

He said the single had yielded some positive responses from his fans and would continue working hard to ensure that he produced as many singles and EPs as possible.

The Waterfall City-based artist added, “The music industry is not easy, but because I have passion for music I stuck with it and spent most of my time back at home in the studio. I don’t think growing up I was that talented when it comes to singing and music, but I worked hard to polish up my skills.”

He is inspired by the likes of Cassper Nyovest, Sasha Sloan, Ed Sheeran and Stargate.

“I think all the positive responses I have been getting from my fans makes me want to give them more music that will transport one to peace, tranquillity and hope. I’ll be working on more singles and EPs before the end of the year.”

He said his inspiration was seeing the people around him happy and enjoying their lives to the fullest.
