Community members are invited to the SPCA annual meeting
Attendees need to RSVP to the SPCA by July 15 for catering purposes.
Members of the public are invited to attend the Midrand SPCA annual general meeting to elect the new management committee and learn about the organisation’s accomplishments so far this year.
The meeting will be hosted at Ambrosia Hall Midrand (97 Allan Road, Glen Austin AH, Midrand) on July 23 at 10:00. Only paid-up members will be permitted to vote.
Midrand SPCA chairperson Brenda Lucas said members elect a management committee for the society at the annual meeting. These management members have to comply with specific protocols and must be committed to the prevention of cruelty to animals.
“Local community members serve on the management committee of the SPCA. They are responsible for the smooth and legal daily operations of the society, investing their free time, including doing fundraising on behalf of the SPCA,” said Lucas.
Should any members of the public wish to join the meeting, they are advised to RSVP to the SPCA by July 15 for catering purposes.
“We look forward to welcoming the public to our annual general meeting to showcase some of the great work achieved in the year and to discuss our year under review.
“We would also like to say thank you to Ambrosia Hall for hosting our annual meeting again this year at no charge to our society.”
