The Midrand Reporter has received numerous complaints about the condition of Midrand’s roads. We asked local residents how potholes affect them.

This is what they had to say…

TSITSI MOGALE: We don’t even call the streets asphalt anymore, they are gravel roads now. I nearly lost my life once because I was driving while it was raining and I smashed into a pothole because the rain had covered it and I couldn’t see it.
NICKY HOLL: The roads are really poor and narrow and the potholes are being fixed badly. Our car mirrors get hit on the narrow roads and, when you drive off the road, the car gets damaged even worse.

MOETAPELE PHALAFALA: We have been complaining about Steyn Road for years, These potholes affect our cars, especially the tyres and some drivers do not have car insurance. We just want the JRA to give us the service delivery that we deserve.
