Siyajabula Soccer Freestylers finds new ways to bring the sport to life

MIDRAND – Siyajabula Soccer Freestylers hopes to bring sport to life through its online sporting programme.

A sporting academy based in Midrand hopes to bring soccer to life through its online sporting programme.

Fanie Moleli, the founder of Siyajabula Soccer Freestylers, said that things have been tough due to the lockdown, however, they hope the online programme they have in place will be helpful.

Moleli said with their programme – SSF Home Fitness Schooling – they will introduce programmes to their players so they can maintain their fitness. He added that, through their programme, their players are able to do different fitness routines and develop their skills in the sport.

He explained that they hope to work on the basic skills with players and work on their weaknesses. “Most of our players have been profiled by us, therefore, we know who is who and how they have been performing.”

Moleli added, “We aim to help the players individually and help our coaches achieve their goal so that when the players come back their fitness level is still maintained as well as their maturity around the ball and control of the ball.”

He said they will give players tasks which challenge their general knowledge about soccer and nutrition. “We also help them with their presentation skills to develop them so they can stand in front of their phone’s camera and speak and demonstrate on whatever topic at hand.

“We have not yet kick-started the psrogramme so far but this is everything we have been doing as part of our football academy. Right now it is just a matter of introducing the programme and announcing to our children what they need to focus on.”
