Dreamhill learners go on science mode

MIDRAND – The Dreamhill International School held their yearly Science Fair on 28 May, a day filled with innovation and science facts to stimulate their learner's scientific curiosity.


Dreamhill International School’s recent annual science fair was filled with innovation and science facts to stimulate their learner’s scientific curiosity.

The school principal, Susan van Heerden, said that young scientists produced projects that amazed many, after working hard to achieve good marks in the process as well.

She added that each grade had a separate topic to work on.

The grade winners were:

• Grade 1 – Sevgi Gulum and Pranathi Govind with their project on space

• Grade 2 – Phatu Itani with a pollution solution project

• Grade 3 – Nishaan Bollu with a project on natural disasters

• Grade 4 – Vihaan Kalakonda with a project on wind energy

• Grade 5 – Bhukhobenkosi Dlamini educated his fellow learners and teachers on sound and light

• Grade 6 – Tanya Philips with a project on aerodynamics

• Grade 7 – Sahasra Kalakonda made a robot using recycled material.

Van Heerden applauded her learners for their work and said that as educators they were very proud of all the achievements made by their learners. “We want to give a special thanks to all our parents for their continued support as well,” she concluded.
