Team spirit is buillt

NOORDWYK – Head of marketing at the school Dawn Schmitz thanked Spirit of Adventure as well as staff for making the day possible.


Grade 10 learners at Christ Church Preparatory School and College participated in a fun day on 11 May organised by Spirit of Adventure in lieu of a school camp.

Learners were divided into teams and got to know facilitators and instructors while taking part in an ice-breaker activity.

They also participated in a relationship tree activity looking at different personalities.

Activities focused on teamwork and leadership skills. During each activity, an observer and a leader were selected by the facilitator. The observer took notes and did not participate in the activity while the leader was the only learner given the information for the task as well as the rules to be adhered to.

Teams also took part in a go-cart building activity and then raced their go-carts thereafter.
