Botshabelo takes the Urban Kids Edu Centre online

BLUE HILLS – The non-profit organisation Botshabelo have announced that they will be taking their Urban Kids Educentre online next year.

Non-profit organisation Botshabelo is excited to announce that they will expand their Urban Kids Edu Centre programme to the online space next year.

The Urban Kids Edu Centre is one of numerous educational programmes run by the organisation. It was established in 2011 and based in Crowthorne with the purpose of offering affordable quality education to children.

Managing director of the organisation, Michelle Hinrichsen said, “It has grown to have over 100 children enrolled with 30 per cent of our children on sponsorship with us. We have educated over 600 children in the decade we have been running the school.

“Through the Covid-19 chaos of 2020, we have tailored our at-home learning approach, and are now ready to launch the online preschool.”

She added that the clincher for this online programme was that parents or nannies that were home with children would receive expert support and help as they facilitated their child’s learning.

Hinrichsen concluded, “What I am most excited about is the training of caretakers or nannies through being involved with the child’s education process, will gain a new skill and potentially a new career for the future. We hope you’ll explore the future of education with us.”
