Midrand CPF elects new executive committee

MIDRAND – The Midrand Community Policing Forum hosted a meeting where their executive committee was elected.


The Midrand Community Policing Forum elected an executive committee at a closed meeting on 4 March.

Spokesperson for the Midrand Police Station Sergeant Matome Tlamela said that all sectors were represented in the meeting along with the Midrand police management and members.

The forum re-elected Steven Johnstone as their chairperson. Tracey Basson was elected deputy chairperson, Shirley Winter elected as secretary, Mmapaseka Letsike as deputy secretary and Tshegofatso Kekae as treasurer.

Tlamela added, “The Midrand Police Station commander Brigadier David Tsotsotso and his management welcomed and congratulated the newly elected executive.

“He mentioned that as the station we are looking forward to working together closely with the team and the sector crime forums.”
