Help the Midrand police find this man

MIDRAND – The Midrand police are currently on the lookout for three suspects involved in a robbery.


The Midrand police are calling on the community for information on a suspect involved in a theft case.

The incident took place on 25 January when the two victims were taking photos of themselves outside a shopping centre after purchasing a television. They were approached by a man who offered to assist them with taking photos.

The complainants refused his help when suddenly a white Volkswagen Polo with two suspects stopped beside the victims.

Spokesperson for the Midrand Police Station Sergeant Matome Tlamela said that the occupants got out of the car with one suspect pointing a firearm while the other loaded their belongings in the vehicle including the recently purchased television, two handbags, ID books, one purse with R500 cash, keys and bank cards.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is still ongoing.

The police are calling on the community to come forward with information on the pictured suspect, who has been identified as the man who approached the victims initially.
