Beaulieu College has yet again attained a 100 per cent matric pass rate for the 19th consecutive year.

After the matric results were released on 7 January, parents and school staff celebrated the learners’ achievements. The schools academic head, Jorge Ruiz-Meza said the matric Class of 2019 had outdone themselves in terms of the results. He added, “We had high expectations from them given the results that we achieved in 2018 but the group has actually done way better than we as the school expected.

“In terms of keeping the standards for 19 consecutive years, it is something that we as a school have always tried to keep up. While we have kept the 100 per cent pass rate for that long, our focus, however, is on the bachelor’s degree pass because it allows the learners to do tertiary education and do university studies. Ruiz-Meza said this year 89 out of the 90 learners achieved a bachelor’s degree pass which was the college’s best results thus far.

The learners achieved 170 As (average of 1.9 per candidate), while 98.9 per cent of the learners achieved a bachelor’s degree pass.
